BPS was founded on the principle of equity and fairness. Our story began in 2016 when our founder started Edinburgh Black Professionals as a networking platform powered by physical, speaker-led events.
We have been on a growth journey since then! We now have a growing membership across the major Scottish cities and towns with skills in Tech, Finance, Art and so on.
I felt privileged to have been given this opportunity and wanted to do something to help others like me who’ll be transitioning from university to work to ensure they get the support which I never got.
We are continuously increasing the support we provide to our members including:
- Regular, timely and relevant online and in-person networking events
- Internship opportunities for student and early careers members
- Mentorship program to support the career growth of our members
- Job opportunities from our partners and collaborators
