About this role
BlackRock’s Aladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, investment operations, and accounting tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock. There are over 50,000 end users of Aladdin globally. The Aladdin Business is comprised of 800+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community fully utilizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.
We are seeking a candidate to work within the Aladdin Client Business Group’s Accounting Practice supporting the implementation of Aladdin’s Performance & Official Accounting capabilities. The individual will work closely with our partner implementation teams and the client acting as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact, providing guidance on best practices and supporting a smooth implementation.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

Working with clients with a focus on building relationships with our client’s senior leaders (e.g., Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Lead Accountants, Performance Specialists), defining future state business processes, analyzing data sets within Aladdin and client legacy systems, implementing workflows and controls ensuring accuracy.

Delivering BlackRock’s Official Accounting & Performance capabilities to clients by leading business process reviews, accounting & performance configurations, portfolio initialization, downstream general ledger integration, and monthly accounting & performance workflow implementation

Developing project plans with measurable goals, driving consensus internal and client stakeholders to work towards common objectives for implementing Aladdin’s performance and accounting capabilities.

Developing and applying accounting and performance domain expertise to evaluate requirements and configuring solutions to meet a wide range of reporting needs through business process review sessions. Identifying and implementing methodology improvements to drive scale across projects

Shaping the evolution of our implementation methodology by developing a deep understanding of client/industry needs and partnering with development teams to enhance the platform

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
