Purpose of role 

The Digital Workplace team are focused on empowering our workforce – ensuring that as a business we can “Adapt at Pace” to an ever-changing landscape. To do this, we follow agile principles using the latest in Microsoft Power Platform technologies, progressing “low code” solutions with PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerFlow, and more traditional SharePoint capabilities. 

Responsibilities  

Reporting to, and working under the guidance of, the Principal IT Business Partner (Digital Workplace Lead), this role will assist in: 

  • Eliciting new opportunities and requirements 
  • Expressing those requirements pragmatically to allow agile responsive delivery 
  • Progressing design, development and testing of appropriate change/solutions 
  • Releasing, managing and communicating change effectively 
  • Proactively maintaining platform stability and effectively investigating and resolving incidents

This is a versatile, challenging and rewarding role in an area that is rapidly evolving and embracing new technologies and methods.  

This opportunity is well-suited to a student with a keen interest in digital technologies. As an intern role, training & mentorship will be provided to the successful candidate, though study towards a relevant degree subject, pertinent experience with the platform tools or IT more generally would be advantageous. 

This is a busy role, requiring good organisation and planning skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with prior experience in a customer service environment advantageous. 

You will be eager to learn and have a collaborative approach with the ability to manage both stakeholders.

 Reporting to: Principal IT Business Partner 

Office Location: 100 Queen Street, Glasgow, G1 3DN 

Hours per week:  37.5 hours  

Duration: 12 weeks  

Commencing: 3rd June  

Remote/Office/Hybrid: Hybrid – all colleagues are required to spend a minimum of 50% of their time (over the course of each month) in the office.  

Salary: £472.50 per week

Annual Leave: 37 days holidays (pro-rata)
