Senior Software Engineer/Developer - iOS

Location: Bristol Harbourside
Salary: £68,202 - £75,780 + excellent rewards package

Hours: Full – time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

We're on a journey to build the bank of the future, and we need your help! We're looking for an expert iOS Engineer (mobile engineer) to join our team.

As a part of this, we're redefining our digital capability, providing customers with simpler, continuous interactions across online, mobile and branches.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Digital Frameworks Platform for a Senior iOS Engineer.

As a Senior Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and maintaining our iOS applications. You will work in a cross-functional team to create customer-friendly, high-performance, and scalable features that are being used by more than 26 million customer through brands including Lloyd's Bank, Halifax & Bank of Scotland.

You also enjoy working closely with the product and other engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.

 

About You:

 

·        Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of iOS applications with other systems

·        Staying up-to-date with the latest iOS trends and technologies and actively contributing to architectural decisions and tech stack choices

·        Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior iOS developers

·        Conducting code reviews to maintain code quality and supporting knowledge sharing through peer programming

What youll need –

As a minimum to be considered, we would like to see demonstrated core experience in:

 

·        Professional hands-on experience and working knowledge in designing mobile applications

·        Proficiency in Swift, as well as a strong knowledge in concurrency and threading

·        Solid understanding of software architecture (MVVM), design patterns and best practices

·        Creating and managing frameworks in a modular codebase

·        Strong problem-solving and attention to details

 

It would also be great if you had experience in:

 

·        Familiar with CI/CD pipeline setup and native automated testing frameworks

·        iOS Security mechanisms and best practices

·        Secure coding standards and guidelines (e.g. OWASP Mobile)
