We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join the Hymans Robertson finance team in Glasgow as Finance Manager. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone looking to progress their career with a business partnering focus. Our finance team play a central role in supporting the leadership of each business units within the firm and helping them drive their commercial performance. Development wise you will get exposure to all facets of accounting and be able to tailor your career along a line that best suits you.
This role will help strengthen our analytical, financial and management reporting capability. As well as oversight of the month end processes and statutory and management reporting, producing and interpreting management information, you will also be involved in business partnering and a range of project work.
Key responsibilities will include:
Key business partnering support for senior budget holders including budgeting and forecasting analysis on a proactive basis
Determining financial implications of potential future strategic plans and ideas
Presentation to leadership groups and involvement in strategic projects
Ownership and management of the month end reporting process ensuring timely delivery of reporting and general ledger accuracy
Ownership and management of the year end audit and statutory accounting processes
Development and enhancement of the management information reporting
Leading and delivering on ad-hoc projects
People management of a small team
Key member of the finance leadership team

Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CA, CIMA)
Strong digital skills including excel
Business partnering / client service experience, ability to liaise with senior leadership
Leading and motivating teams
Experience of Oracle NetSuite and Caseware advantageous
Previous experience with LLP’s advantageous
Experience of identifying and implementing process and control improvements
Experience of presenting to more senior colleagues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to network effectively and to build excellent relationships with colleagues across the business
Results driven with excellent attention to detail
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills
Excellent organisational and time management and prioritisation skills
