ABOUT THE JOB

As part of the drive to transform Corporate Support Services, a Continuous Improvement people programme will be delivered across the Division to drive efficient and effective ways of working therefore, there will be a requirement for additional Business Process Analyst capacity and capability within Police Scotland’s Change Function.

The purpose of this role is to improve the outcomes of organisational and operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase internal/external customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible Creating and facilitating process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and working with stakeholders to ensure systems provided meet long term strategic requirements.

You will be responsible for assessing and self-managing risk within all aspects of the role whilst applying best practice approaches to continuous improvement within Police Scotland.

ABOUT YOU

Our preferred candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area with demonstrable experience in a similar environment in addition to a recognised certification in process improvement methods e.g. Lean, Six Sigma. Experience of working on agile and lean projects in a fast paced, complex environment coupled with strong communication and planning skills are key to success in this role.

This full time post is temporary until 31st March 2023 and will require Standard Recruitment Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

The location is flexible (Tulliallan or Dalmarnock)
