The Portfolio Management Office within Police Scotland is currently looking to recruit a PMO Analyst who will be responsible for completing comprehensive portfolio analysis by developing, maintaining and co-ordinating the production of management reports that support governance and enable key strategic decision making in regards to portfolio delivery.

You will be valued for your contribution in terms of supporting Police Scotland’s Transformation Portfolio by providing a strategic overview of all Programmes and Projects by collating, analysing and evaluating a range of data sources.

You will work in harmony with organisational goals and relevant legislation under the direction of the PMO Planning Lead and the PMO Manager to maintain the overall Portfolio Delivery Plan and the Portfolio Resource Plan.

You will have the ability to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) guidance regarding current Frameworks, such as Risk Management, Benefits Management, Dependencies Management, Lessons Learned, Planning Standards to support portfolio, programme and project delivery.


As a successful PMO Analyst, you will be educated to HNC level or have a minimum of 2 years proven experience within a relevant PMO environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to evidence recent experience as a PMO Analyst supporting complex, cross functional programmes/projects and have formal PMO/Project Management qualifications e.g. P30, PRINCE2. Exemplary communication skills with ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization will be key to success in this role.


This full time post is Permanent and will require Recruitment Vetting.

You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

A Driving Licence would be desirable for this role.
