As an Information Communications Technician apprentice, you’ll cover implementing and maintaining IT systems for the Group with optional pathways for Support Technician, Network Technician and Digital Communications Technician.
Delivered by Firebrand, this Level 3 apprenticeship enables colleagues to develop a clear understanding of the components of infrastructure and how they are installed, secured and maintained.
Your apprenticeship will take around 18 months to complete and will cover key areas such as:
Support Technician
Maintenance or repair of system faults
Support for the roll-out of installation of new systems or upgrades
Network Technician
Installation and commission of networks
Maintenance or repair of network equipment
Digital Communications Technician
Installation and commission of telecoms networks
Maintenance or repair of telecoms network equipment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Our main requirement is that you to have a passion for the role you’re applying for! Aside from this we have a few formal requirements:
Education:
National 5 qualifications in English and Maths at grades 1 – 3 or equivalent.
Please note, you will not be eligible for this apprenticeship if you have an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship, in a similar subject
Location:
You should live a commutable distance from the location in this advert. Our work style is hybrid and you should expect to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
Additional Requirements:
You’ll be aged at least 18 years old when the apprenticeship starts.
Whilst we welcome candidates who have a degree, this cannot be in a field related to the apprenticeship due to a crossover in learning. We’ll request a copy of your degree module transcript to review your prior learning if your degree may contain prior learning.
