Purpose of role

This internship will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and insights into a career in HR, and what goes into creating the culture we’re so proud of, by supporting our HR team to provide an excellent colleague experience to all areas of the business whilst delivering key HR projects and initiatives aligned to our People Strategy.

Responsibilities

Performing a wide range of administrative tasks and activities associated with the full employee lifecycle including:

  • updating colleague records, ensuring data accuracy within our HR Information Systems
  • processing payroll and administrating benefits
  • drafting letters and meeting minutes associated with our annual HR activities, HR policies and employee relations issues.
  • maintaining our Learning Management System ‘Edrington Academy’
  • responding to straightforward colleague and line manager enquires
  • analysing reports and data to provide meaningful insight to the team

 What we’re looking for

This opportunity is well-suited to a student with a keen interest in People, HR, and/or Business Strategy.

This is a busy role with a lot of variety and a high level of stakeholder engagement, presenting the chance to gain exposure to all business units and functions across Edrington, primarily in the UK but also globally. A strong level of planning and prioritisation of workload as well as initiative in dealing with enquiries from customers at all levels is needed.

Reporting to:                          HR Manager

Office Location:                     Glasgow (Queen Street Office, with occasional travel to Great Western Road site)

Hours per week:                     37.5 hours

Duration:                                  10-12 weeks

Commencing:                             June 2024 (date TBC)

Remote/Office/Hybrid:         Hybrid – all colleagues are required to spend a minimum of 50% of their time (over the course of each month) in the office.

Salary:                                              £12.60 per hour

Annual Leave:                          37 days holidays (pro-rata for part-time/ temporary staff)
